a spoof Twitter account called ‘Rob Burrow’s Nipple’ has gained more than 500 followers in just five days.

The account was set up after the Leeds Rhinos star posted a topless picture of him holding one-month-old daughter Macy – but only his nipple appeared on the thumbnail shot.

Hours after the @RobBurrowNipple profile was set up, the account was trending among Twitter users in Leeds.

Tweets posted by the nipple so far include: “A few tweeps asking if I hang with any other nipples in the dressing room. Favourites are @chrisclarkson00 and @JamiePeacock10” and “Well over 500 followers now. I’m just a nipple and have more followers than some of the @leedsrhinos players. #awkward.”

The account was set up after Rob appeared on 96.3 Radio Aire, where breakfast show host Rich Williams drew his attention to his thumbnail picture.

After the spoof account gained more than 300 followers in 24 hours, Rob himself tweeted: “Getting a bit jealous that my nipple is getting more air time than me these days!!!”
