creative youngsters at a west Leeds primary school have expressed their artistic side to help create a special leaving present.

Pupils at Kirkstall Beecroft Primary crafted their very own three dimensional felt artwork.

And their creative masterpiece was presented to Gail Webb the retiring director of learning at Leeds City Council during a special musical assembly at the school.

The school’s orchestra also played during the ceremony.

The arty children were inspired to create the landscape work after visiting artist David Hockney’s recent exhibition at Salts Mill, in Saltaire, during a recent school trip.
