A prisoner who absconded from custody while at hospital in Leeds has been locked up.

Jerome Foley, 22, was at an appointment in St James’s Hospital when he managed to escape from his guards and leave the building at about 1pm on Monday.

Foley was on remand at HMP Leeds for an alleged offence of domestic violence.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Jerome Foley has now been located and is back in police custody.”
