To super-slimmer Suzanne Farrant, best pal Nicola Curtis is worth her weight in gold.
Mum Suzanne, 34, from Wortley, Leeds, has shed seven stone and six dress sizes in little over a year – and says she couldn't have done it without friend and slimming buddy Nicola.

The pair met four years ago at the gates of Lower Wortley Primary School, where both their young sons are pupils.

But it was at the weighing scales that their friendship was really cemented.
Suzanne, a fashion fan and self-confessed lifelong yo-yo dieter, was fed up of her baggy size 22 clothes and longed to look svelte in the latest trends. Nicola also wanted to shift a stubborn extra few pounds.
So the pair made a pact to lose weight together – and have now lost nine stone between them, eight of those with their local Slimming World class at Armley leisure centre.
Suzanne has shrunk six sizes and medical secretary Nicola, previously a 14, is now a trim size 10.
And their new-found body confidence means the yummy mummies have been able to indulge another shared passion as the post-Christmas sales season kicks in – shopping.
Nicola, who lost two stone, reached her target weight months ago but still attends weekly classes to encourage Suzanne.
The 35-year-old said: "We were talking about not fitting into our dresses for Christmas parties and decided to do something.
"We started out with changing our food habits, eating more healthily, and then we decided we had to exercise as well.
"So we started running too, gradually building up from walking, and joined yoga and pilates classes.
"We did all those things together. It was not competitive, it was support."
Suzanne, who works as an assistant director for an insurance broker, says Nicola's role in her weight-loss success has been "really important" and she is encouraging other New Year dieters to 'buddy up' with a friend.
"Nicola has kept on coming to the classes and she has stayed on her target weight," she said.
"There have been times when I have wanted to not come back (to the Slimming World sessions].
"It just seemed like such a long journey. But when there are two of you there's no excuse. You can't say 'not today' because you don't want to let one another down."
Armley Leisure Centre has Slimming World classes on Mondays at 1pm, 5.15pm and 7pm. Call Sam Fletcher on 07723 536378.
