One lucky Leeds mum is set to get her very own makeover this Mother’s Day.

Vicky Head, from Birstall, was nominated by her step daughter Zara for the Make Up A Mum For Mother’s Day contest - organised by the White Rose shopping centre in partnership with the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Vicky, 46, will now be treated to the luxury makeover session worth £200 as part of a special pamper day.

She will enjoy a personal styling session at Debenhams which will be followed by a relaxing pamper session at Lush.

Zara, 32, who is one of four siblings, said: “Vicky is a lovely person, a fantastic mum and a wonderful friend to me.

“My stepmum has treated us as her own for the last 27 years. She always puts others first and will help anyone without hesitation.

“She is also a foster carer and is the best substitute mum to all the little ones that come into her care.

“So, not only is she the best mum to my sisters, she is the best stepmum to us and the best foster mum to all the littlies.

“She is a very special person.

“I have no hesitation in saying that all my siblings agree with my comments.”

Vicky added: “I was really surprised and flattered that I have been nominated by Zara to win the prize and I am really pleased and proud.

“I’m also looking forward to the day.”

In addition to the luxury pamper session, the family will be treated to a free meal by Handmade Burger, before being whisked away to Supercuts for a wash and blow dry.

And the surprises don’t end there.

As the lucky winner of this year’s competition, Vicky will also enjoy an exclusive No7 makeover in the Boots’ private consultation room, before being given a special gift to take home with her.
