A lantern parade will illuminate the city as part of this year’s Leeds Light Night.
Pyramid of Arts will lead the parade, which will feature a giant owl, through the city centre on October 9.
The Leeds-based arts charity will host free lantern-making workshops in the run up to the event, led by local artists along with designer Bryan Tweddle, artistic director of the Nuit des Lampion in Luxembourg and the Festival of Light in Trier, Germany. Workshops for children and young people take place at The Carriageworks Theatre on September 12 and October 3, and for anyone of all ages at their Holbeck HQ on September 19 and 26.
