A 16-year-old Leeds girl has won through to the semi-final of a national teenage beauty competition.
Ellie Nottingham, from Kippax, has the chance to compete for the £1,000 grand prize at a glittering ceremony in Blackpool.
The competition, open to those aged 11 to 19 across multiple categories, is open to contestants from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Ellie, of Brigshaw High School, said: " I am so excited to have made it to the semi final, it is a great achievement. Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true – fingers crossed I will be able to represent my hometown Leeds and win the Miss Teen Great Britain crown"
A spokesman for the competition said: "The contests were created to be a positive and confidence-building experience for young girls and teenagers.
"We intend for the girls to make new friends and aim to make each and every contestant feel like a queen! Most importantly, we open the doors to fun and exciting opportunities for our winners.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the chance to participate in a competition that combines glamour and celebrating their success and achievements. It gives our finalists the character-building experience of a lifetime.
"The winner will have an amazing year ahead of her with appearances, charity work and possible modelling opportunities.
"The grand finals are full of fun. From the beauty queen challenge day, a pyjama diva party and the grand final itself, it is a weekend that will never be forgotten."
