A family run company that has been established in Wetherby for over 200 years looks set to move premises as part of a business expansion.

G.E. Hartley and Son Funeral Directors is moving from Church Street to a refurbished property on Westgate and Crossley Street. The company also has offices in Thorner and Garforth.

Local resident, Richard Jones, said: “The building has had so many uses and has been an eyesore over the last few years while it has stood empty.

“It is great to see a local business not only take it over, but tastefully renovate the premises, significantly improving the appearance of one of the main routes into Wetherby.”
