Football mad Ron Fisher, who was a physiotherapist to players before his retirement, has been raising money for charity with a photographic exhibition celebrating the beautiful game.

Mr Fisher, 82, of Halton, set up the show of pictures from the past at Crossgates Shopping Centre.

Shoppers who browsed the show were asked to make a donation for St Gemma’s Hospice in return for taking a look.

And he said the pictures inspired people to stop and share memories of the past players for Leeds United.

“Many were recognising family members who have since died. It was lovely to hear people share their memories,” he said.
