The last seven days have been pretty unique here at the Leeds First Direct Arena.

Throughout this last week, we’ve been working behind the scenes on the Team Presentation Ceremony for the Tour de France. It’s going to be a very special night and it’s great to see tickets flying out for it.

Ska-pop legends Madness will play at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Friday, December 12 as part of their All For The M.A.D.H.E.A.D. tour.

The world’s most watched annual sporting event, right here in Leeds - it’s not one to miss.

Welcome to Yorkshire will be announcing some of the surprises that will occur on the night soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

On Saturday we welcomed one of the most talked about people on the planet, Miley Cyrus, through our doors.

With an incredibly elaborate show, devoted fans, a 60-foot inflatable husky, a giant hot dog and more costume changes than you could count, it was certainly a very memorable night.

As Miley said: “Leeds is now my favourite UK place”, so you might see her on a night out on the Calls sometime soon…

This week is a busy one too. We’re really excited to be building up to WWE Live WrestleMania Revenge on Friday, with some of the world’s best wrestlers coming to rumble Leeds.

If you’re a fan, don’t miss out – it’s going to be a night of awesome smackdowns and wrestling drama.

This week we’ve also announced that we’ll be welcoming ska legends Madness here at Leeds First Direct Arena in December. It’s sure to be a popular gig, tickets will go on sale this Friday.

Next week, we look forward to North Power boxing on May 21 and then the wonderful Prince on May 23.

Madness have today announced details of a brand new UK tour, M.A.D.H.E.A.D, which will be coming to the first direct arena this winter.

Regarding the new tour frontman Suggs said:

‘I know when to go out, I know when to stay in and get things done…..GET YOUR M.A.D.H.E.A.D ON, WE ARE GOING OUT!!!!!’

Tickets for the Thursday, December 11 show go on sale this Friday, priced from £35.00.
