Leeds Digital City: Graduate claims top honour at awards

A software testing engineer working for a Leeds-based IT firm has been named graduate of year at an industry awards ceremony.

Aaron Gibbon, based at BJSS Leeds Delivery Centre, was named graduate tester of the year at the 2016 European Software Testing Awards.

Aaron joined the autumn 2015 intake of the BJSS Graduate Programme after being awarded a first class honours degree in computer science and master of engineering degree from the University of Leeds.

Cecilia Rehn, editor of TEST Magazine and chairwoman of the European Software Testing Awards judging panel, said: “The judging panel was in agreement that Aaron showed clear evidence of applying best practices, collaborating with colleagues and researching and learning from them, as well as from the test community to meet and succeed the needs of his clients and projects.”

BJSS managing director Glynn Robinson said: “We’re very proud of Aaron’s achievement.
