Parallax, based near The Calls in Leeds city centre, has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – a cloud services platform the agency said provided computing power, database storage and content delivery to help businesses scale and grow.

One of the agency’s directors and lead developers, James Hall, told Digital City: “Our desire to keep up to speed with the newest technologies inspired us to host the Leeds AWS User Group.

“This led to us working and partnering with AWS to
deliver largescale solutions for clients. It was all a very natural fit.”

The quarterly user group meetings offer web developers and digital hobbyists a chance to get together and discuss all things virtual.

Since it was established in 2010, Parallax’s work has included a contribution to the serverless recording technology behind the official UEFA Euro 2016 anthem, working on advertising software for British Airways, created a voting system for Sportswomen of the Year for The Sunday Times and Sky Sports, and building an app for Enterprise Car Club.
