A company director is poised to cycle the length of the UK in a monumental effort to raise money for charity.

Dave Hudson, Technical director of Barratt Developments, will pedal 1,000 miles from Lands’ End to John O’Groats in aid of Yorkshire-based St Gemma’s Hospice.

The hospice provides the best possible care and quality of life for local people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Dave’s ride, which is set to take place in August, follows a similar charity trek back in 2015.

That saw Dave, 49, travel over 300 miles from London to Paris, contributing to £40,000 for the Endeavour charity as part of a 45-strong peloton. To donate, visit bit.ly/1OvU5tw.
