Ladies, gentlemen and children lunched in style with friends and neighbours as part of an annual event.

Communities across Leeds took part in the Big Lunch – an event held on June 1 each year designed to bring communities together and help stamp out social isolation.

The event, funded nationally by the Big Lottery Fund, was enjoyed by friends and neighbours on the green at Victoria Gardens, Horsforth – where children enjoyed a bouncy castle, a barbeque and live music.

And one of the biggest Big Lunches in Yorkshire took place in Wetherby at Sandringham Park. Pictured are two children enjoying games at the event.

Big lunch events will continue to take place until the end of the month. Visit www.thebiglunch.com for more details.
