Leeds City College is helping TNT Express Services UK & Ireland deliver a unique initiative to address the industry-wide issue of an ageing driver population with the launch of a new apprenticeship scheme.

The logistics company, which provides a wide range of transportation and express services to business and consumers around the world, has teamed up with the College, one of the UK’s largest FE establishments, to launch its Driver Apprenticeship Scheme – one of the first programmes of its kind to be offered in the parcel sector of the logistics industry. The 12-month programme is designed to be unique in the sector and offers young, newly-qualified drivers the chance to start a career with a global organisation while working towards an appropriate qualification.
