College centres at St Bartholomew’s in Armley; Winthorpe Street, Meanwood, and Joseph Priestley at Morley are to close the college seeks to make savings of more than £10m.

A spokeswoman for Leeds City College said: “We can confirm that St Bartholomew’s Centre, Meanwood Centre, and Joseph Priestley Campus, Morley, are now scheduled to close by September 2015.

“However, the closure of these sites does not necessarily mean the closure of provision as the college is currently investigating alternative locations in the local vicinities.”

College chiefs say the number of community venues it operates from are being cut as a result of continuing funding cuts to the college’s adult budget.
