Leeds city centre: Road closures and two men in hospital after bar assault

Officers are now at the scene in Leeds city centre where two men were injured in an assault this morning (Sunday).

Police were called to Bar Fibre, Queens Court, off Lower Briggate, at 4.40am.

Road closures are currently in place on a section of Briggate after two men, aged 26 and 23 from Leeds, were hurt during the incident.

They are being treated in hospital and police described their injuries as "serious but not life-threatening".

Two men, aged 28 and 36, from Leeds, have been arrested and officers said a knife had been recovered.

A section of Briggate is now closed, between Bridge End and Boar Lane, while police investigators are on the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
