A Leeds-based brain tumour charity are looking for fundraisers to represent them at two regional sporting events.

Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire (BTRS) is searching for volunteers to put on their running shoes and take part in this year’s Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon and the Skipton Tough Mudder obstacle course.

The charity has places available for fundraisers for both Tough Mudder, which will take place at Broughton Hall, Skipton on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, and the marathon, which will take place in York on Sunday, October 9.

BTRS provides support to patients and families across Yorkshire and the Humber affected by brain tumours, as well as assisting in funding vital brain tumour research.

Charity Manager Rachel Finlay said: “The incredible support from our fundraisers means that we can continue to support those suffering with a brain tumour in Yorkshire and the Humber while funding research to find a cure.

“We can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done in getting us to where we are today and we know that with your continued support, we can only keep growing!”
