Have your say

If you’re a local band, musician or artist, it can be hard to get seen. It doesn’t matter how talented you are, sometimes it’s about getting yourself talked about and seen by as many people as possible.

To help with that, we launched the Sound of the Month on our social media channels. While we can’t promise that the winner’s will get to perform a sold out arena gig, we can help with boosting awareness and getting people talking.

This month’s winner was Simon Walker. The competition itself was seen by over 13,000 people on Facebook. A boost for profile from the start.

We look forward to working with Simon in the coming weeks.

You can catch up with Simon and listen to his single on my blog: www.tonyblogging.com.

The Big Reunion Boy Band Tour will visit the First Direct arena in October.

TV Bosses have today announced the launch of The Big Reunion Boy Band Tour. The acts will be heading to Leeds on the October 27. This exciting tour will bring together the seven boy bands from both series - Five, Blue, 911, (from 2013 series) plus A1, Damage, 3T and the recently formed 5th Story (from 2014 series).

Tickets are on sale now priced £27.50 and £45.

Series one of The Big Reunion which aired last year starred some of the biggest pop groups of the nineties coming together for the ultimate reunion. Acts featured included Five and 911 who were joined by surprise addition Blue mid-way through the series. The groups were thrust back into the spotlight, reliving their dreams and revealing the highs and lows of life in a pop group. The groups followed the success of the programme by embarking on two UK & Irish tours in May and December, performing in arenas to almost 200,000 fans.

This is a busy month for Leeds First Direct Arena, with Robbie Williams being the first major act to stage a two-night run on June 16 and 17.

Country and Western singer Dolly Parton will be filling seats on Friday June 20.

On June 21, it’s The Osmands and David Essex topping the bill.

On Sunday June 22, Eric Clapton will be in town.

On Monday June 23, it will be the turn of The Eagles.
