It seems that one half of the country is now working to keep the other half in jobs.
Traffic wardens are another example of this - there used to be standard rules about parking - like free parking after six o clock - nowadays you have to really read the small print on the parking charge boards as there are constant charges.

Once again LCC ride roughshod over the people they are meant to represent. They seem to think they rule the world but they are just unelected faceless nobodies, how can they keep getting away with it and when are the elected councilors going to stick up for the people for a change.

I do not have a car but I do travel on extremely expensive and unreliable public transport. You will not persuade motorists to abandon their cars, whatever the cost of parking, until you offer them something approaching a decent public transport system.
The council should use some of the 15m towards improving the standard of public transport in and around the city.

All parking restrictions were first introduced to improve the flow of traffic so we got parking meters to help keep the centres clear and for safety reasons, fire etc. Now it seems that the parking restrictions are being used to generate revenue for the towns and cities.
