Yorkshire Amateur - Three’s the magic number for mid-table adversaries Littletown and Stanley United

Spencer Inskip was in the right place at the right time to tuck the ball away but it wasn’t enough to prevent Drighlington going down 2-1 at Alwoodley.

Athletico, meanwhile, hit visiting Lower Hopton for six.

Substitute Ashley shaw scored a consolation goal for Lower Hopton in the 6-1 reverse while Izatulla Ghaznewal (2), Paul Hague (2) and Guelor Kasongo were on target for Athletico.

The top-four tango between Horsforth St Margaret’s and visitors Wortley ended 3-1 in favour of the second-placed visitors.

Curtis Lewis was on top form in front of goal, firing in all three for Wortley.

Third-placed Leeds City were given a good run for their money by visiting Calverley United.

It eventually finished 2-1 to the home side courtesy of goals from Alistair Lewis and Adam Fox.

Ryburn United, meanwhile, pulled of one of the surprises of the weekend with a 3-2 victory at Leeds Medics & Dentists.

The sides sit 10th and fifth in the table respectively and this win - thanks to goals from Christian Silkstone and Bradley Tynan (2) - bodes well for United bid to move up the rankings.

League leaders Farsley Celtic Juniors conceded a couple at bottom club Steeton but in the end it was business as usual with a 5-2 victory.

Danny Lyons cooked up a brace of goals and Craig Farrand and Jake Thompson were also on target for the visitors.

In the Premier, sixth-place Ealandians pulled out all the stops to secure a 4-4 draw with top-of-the-table Golcar United.

Alex Fryer (2), Jonahn Lennon and Michael Ruthven were on target for the hosts while Josimar Bradshaw, John Conheeney and Joshua Robinson-Wilson found the back of the net for the division’s leaders.

Middleton, placed third on the ladder, mauled visiting St Bede’s 9-2.

Richard Collier bagged a hat-trick, Danny Harrison also scored, but the match highlight was five goals from James Law. There were goals in reply from Jermaine Moyce and Vusumuzi Ndlovu.

Morley Town enjoyed a comfortable 6-2 success over mid-table rivals Collegians, for whom Jordan Spencer and Peter Walker were on target.

Ryan Hartley (2), Jared Lloyd-Jones (2), Kyle Walker and sub’ Jordan Chippendale bagged the goals for Town.

Second-placed Mount St Mary’s were in no mood to be troubled by hosts Shire Academics and subsequently ran out 3-0 victors.

Ryan Houghton netted twice and Daniel Powell also got on the scoresheet.

Second-bottom Stanningley Old Boys scored four goals at White Rose through Bradley Longhorn, Tom Stewart, Shane Thompson and Brodhi Wilkinson.

But it wasn’t enough to deny the hosts a 6-4 triumph.

Bottom club Nostell MW might have got off the mark last week but they reverted to type this time out, losing 4-3 at Wibsey.

Ethan Labad (2) and sub’ Vaughan Clark Williams (2) shared the goals for Wibsey with Nigel Chambwe, Liam Ormsby and Matthew Owens on target for Welfare.
