The village gained a silver gilt award at the Yorkshire in Bloom presentation in Bridlington.
Victoria Park was judged as the best park in the public park competition whilst St Wilfred's Parish Church received the top Yorkshire Rose Award for the best place of worship.
Local councillor Frank Robinson (Con, Calverley and Farsley), who is
also the chair of the In Bloom committee, said that Calverley's improvement was as a result of the fantastic efforts of many local groups, residents, schools and businesses.
In a report by the judges they said that they were impressed by the floral and environmental quality of the park, church and chapel.
Praise was also given to Brookleigh, Town Wells and commercial units.
Coun Robinson added: "The committee aim to continue to raise the standard of the floral appearance of the village."
