Wildcats back blood pressure campaign across Wakefield

  • by Alison Bellamy

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are backing a new campaign to find people with undiagnosed high blood pressure.

Players and staff have had their blood pressure tested at the campaign’s mobile drop-in point, which is touring Wakefield. The Blood Pressure Drop In will visit the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Sunday, when the team plays St Helens. Fans can get their blood pressure tested and health advice.

Figures show nearly a third of adults in Wakefield are estimated to have high blood pressure, however around 30,000 people are not yet diagnosed. People over 40 can visit one of 60 blood pressure drop-ins set up across the district, and get a quick, free test.
