A Leeds pub has reached the final stages of a search to find the country’s best ale-house.

The Ings in Guiseley, owned by Punch Taverns, has made the regional final of the Great British Pub Awards.

Licensee Joseph and Irene Moran were honoured in the best tenanted/leased category for the Yorkshire and northern region.

Andy Brady, development manager at Punch, said: “The Great British Pub Awards reward licensees that demonstrate real excellence and we wanted to ensure that Joe and Irene receive the recognition they deserve for all their hard work.”

The awards ceremony is next week in London.
