Shiver me timbers - this ship looks like it’s a bit off course!
It is in fact a huge inflatable play-slide modelled on a pirate ship and designed to entertain children and young people.
And from today (Feb 19) it is moored in the recently reopened Bramley Baths. The Friends of Bramley Baths bought the craft, which also has its own shark in tow, after raising money through a number of fundraising activities, including a sponsored Leeds-Liverpool swim although they never left the pool in Bramley. A spokeswoman said: “We’re now asking young people to suggest a name for it.”
Leeds West MP Rachel Reeves met Danny Whiteley, the manager of Bramley Baths, as the pool was opened for ever half-term splash session here with the new inflatable yesterday.
The inflatable will be in the pool 1-4pm tomorrow and on Friday.
