Wakefield Wildcats: X Factor's Danyl to perform at season opener

X Factor star Danyl Johnson will be performing at the Wakefield Wildcats' season opener in the New Year.

The singing sensation wowed the X Factor judges in his first audition and was an early favourite to win but was voted off show earlier this month.

Show supremo and music mogul Simon Cowell said Danyl gave the "best first audition ever."

Danyl will be entertaining the crowds during half time on February 7 and also treating the corporate guests to a private performance pre match, when the Wildcats take on Les Catalans Dragons in Round One of Super League XV.

The Wildcats will be out for revenge on the Dragons, who knocked them out of the play offs back in September.

The club is offering fans the chance to buy two adult ground tickets for 30 on December 21. The offer is valid for one day only.
