TRINITY Walk shopping centre in Wakefield city centre has been evacuated after reports of a gas leak today.
Police were called to a area of Marsh Way close to the Sainsbury’s Store at Trinity Walk just after 9am.
Officers have evacuated shoppers from the Trinity Walk shopping centre and closed Marsh Way to traffic.
A police spokesman said: “The police, fire service and gas board are in attendance. Traffic is being diverted down Peterson Road. Please avoid the area if possible.”
