POLICE searching for a 53-year-old Wakefield man who had been missing since Thursday have tonight confirmed they have found a body in the Ossett area.
David Woodall, 53, was reported missing from his Ossett home at 11.40pm on Thursday.
He was last seen at his home at about 6.50am that morning but did not go into work.
Searches had been ongoing today (Friday) around Ossett, Dewsbury and surrounding areas and officers were concerned for Mr Woodall’s safety as his disappearance was described as “out of character”.
A statement from West Yorkshire Police confirmed that a body has been found in the Ossett area, and Mr Woodall’s family have been informed. A formal identification is yet to take place, police said.
