A RARE Rolls-Royce Corniche owned by the late Sir Jimmy Savile OBE has returned to its original home ahead of a charity auction.
The ‘Last of Line’ limited edition convertible – one of just 56 made in 2002 to mark the end of both Rolls Royce and Bentley motor cars being built together in Crewe – was bought by the presenter in 2007.
The car has gone on display at JCT600 Leodis Court on Gelderd Road, Leeds, which sold it to Sir Jimmy, ahead of the auction at Saviles Hall on July 30.
Proceeds will go to Sir Jimmy’s Charitable Trust, which will continue to support his various good causes.
Sales executive, Roger Perkins, said: “We’ve had a long history of looking after Sir Jimmy and it seems fitting that one of his cherished Rolls-Royces has returned here, where people can come and view it.”
