POLICE in Wakefield dance to the ‘Gangnam Style’ beat in an arresting new video.
Officers donned shades and strutted their stuff in the performance, which was filmed by a Wakefield College student and posted on Facebook as part of a ‘Futire Stars’ project.
Supt Tyron Joyce of Wakefield police, said: “Future Stars is a project funded by money from the Proceeds of Crime Act that intends to break down barriers between the police and young people from across the seven Wakefield NPT areas.
“Following some community engagement work, a local college media student came up with the idea to create the video, which features Neighbourhood Policing Team officers who attended in their own time to help out with filming. All in all the film was a light-hearted way for our officers to engage with local young people in a non-confrontational way.”
