Video: Leeds Carnegie stars get up close and personal with The Lady Boys of Bangkok

Have you seen their tackle?

Players from Leeds Carnegie got to grips with some unconventional opponents when The Lady Boys of Bangkok came to town.

The cabaret show beauties and keen rugby fans joined in a training session at the club’s training ground in Kirkstall and were put through their paces by players including Lee Imiolek, Damien Tussac, Sam Lockwood, Mark Tampin, Scott Freer, Calum Green and Joe Graham.

The divas were taking a break from preparing for their two-week residency in Leeds city centre’s Millennium Square, which runs until Saturday, October 27.

Performer Uten Pengsa-Ard, nicknamed Sonya, said: “We like watching rugby because it’s a game for real men and it is now starting to become more popular in Thailand.

“This was the first time we’ve had the chance to have a go at rugby union ourselves and it was a real honour to meet the team and to learn a bit about the game ourselves.”
