VIDEO Graffiti artists bring their works of art to Leeds

MULTI-millionaire art collector Charles Saatchi is just one fan of the "crazy, exciting" work of graffiti guy Tek 33. And yesterday saw the graffiti artist shelve an opening exhibition of his work in Brazil for the bright lights of Leeds to open "Burning Candy."

It is a collection of work by himself, pictured front, and fellow graffiti artists Sweet Toof and Cyclops at Leeds College of Art & Design.

None of the trio reveal their real names – instead preferring to conceal their identities in pseudonyms.

But they are some of the UK's longest active and most prolific graffiti artists who have joined forces to exhibit here in Leeds from the Sartorial Contemporary Art Gallery, in Kensington.

They came together for the touring exhibition which coincides with the publication of "Burning Candy," an A5 hard cover book that shows the artists' journey from 1986 to the present day 2008, with an essay by Olly Beck.

1993. The Leeds "Burning Candy" exhibition will run from May 19 to June 27 before going on to the Sartorial Contemporary Art Gallery, London, from October 16 to November 11.
