A burglary victim tried to lock two intruders INTO her house – but was forced to let them escape after being threatened with a hammer.
The 44-year-old disturbed the pair after returning to her home on Cross Flatts Avenue, Beeston.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “She attempted to lock the intruders in the address but was threatened with a hammer type implement by one of the men and feared she was going to be assaulted. The men climbed over the back garden fence and ran off across Cross Flatts Park.”
Cash, jewellery and a mobile phone were stolen in the incident, at about 1.30pm on September 9.
City and Holbeck police have released an e-fit image of a man they want to trace.
Anyone who recognises him or has been offered the bangle for sale should call PC Rebecca Cameron at Holbeck police station via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
