Velocity: Headingley school band are a force

A junior pop band from Headingley showed they are a force to be reckoned with at their school's spring concert.

Velocity are an eight-piece boy band.

They are all in year six at Richmond House Primary School formed last October and are trained by teacher Simon Franklin.

Headteacher Jane Disley said: "Velocity was very well received to put it mildly. The band and all other school acts deserved their applause."

Other acts at St Chad's church hall included the school orchestra, a samba band, solo artists and school choir.

Simon added: "Velocity work hard and have a strict, weekly rehearsal schedule."
