Police searching for a missing 38-year-old Leeds man are renewing their appeal for information after he was spotted in a local shop.
Andrew MacSparran, of Roundhay View, Chapel Allerton, was last in contact with his family on Sunday, July 13, when he sent a text message to his brother.
Police have since collected CCTV images of him in a Londis store on Harehills Lane, Leeds, at 11.35am on Wednesday, July 16, when he bought a packet of cigarettes.
Detective Chief Inspector Lisa Atkinson, of Leeds District CID, said: “This is completely out of character for Andrew and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.
“Andrew has links to Rochdale, Liverpool and Brighton and it is possible he may have travelled to one of these areas.
“I would urge anyone who has seen a man matching his description or who has information about his whereabouts to call Leeds District CID on 101 as a matter of urgency.
“Similarly, I would urge Andrew himself to make contact with either the police or his family to confirm that he is safe and well.”
Mr MacSparran is described as white and around 6ft tall. He wears glasses for reading.
Anyone with information should call Leeds CID on 101.
