Talented young musician earns record deal from contest
Ella Rothwell, who is a student at Leeds College of Music, secured the contract with Big On Road Records after the Undiscovered Leeds live final at Oporto, in Call Lane, last week.
More than 150 people turned up to the sold out event, which gave a proportion of its profits to The Ben Manning Music Foundation that supports children and bands from less privileged backgrounds.
Undiscovered Leeds’s managing director Will Snowden said: “Ella is amazing and we all hope she gets the exposure she deserves.”
Initially 40 singer-songwriters auditioned.
