Police will tweet from the streets as the 46th Leeds West Indian Carnival gets into full swing on bank holiday Monday.
Officers will use Twitter to keep revellers up to speed with their activities as thousands descend on Chapeltown for the annual festivities. Similar updates will be provided on the social media site by police at the Leeds Festival and in the city centre throughout the weekend.
Chief Inspector Matt Davison said: “We hope it will give people attending these events a useful additional source of information that will help them to make the most of the weekend.”
