As a dear friend of Michaela's, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all the dear family and friends of Peter and Michael. What a tragic loss. I lost my brother in Sept 2000 in a car accident and am all too familiar with the sense of loss and devastation you are all feeling at this moment in time. Try to remember to good memories and these will help you through the coming weeks and months.
Peter and Michael - Look out for Sime Sayles up in that wonderful world of Heaven and give him a big kiss from his little sister.
Love and Best Wishes to you all at this sad time,
Emma Crossley x

All the heart-warming tributes to Peter and Michael reaffirm the depth of feeling that was felt by anyone that was lucky enough to have met them. Words cannot begin to describe the total sense of loss that has been felt by us all.
Pete made such an impact on anybody who met him and he was always the life and soul of any party. I cannot help but smile when I think of his sense of humour and his ability to make people laugh (albeit normally at the expense of others including Uncle Mick).
I was subject to many of Uncle Pete's 'one liners' over the years but would give anything to hear them again. The word 'character' was surely defined by him, what a guy.
For all who grieve; Stay strong and remember the good times we all had, especially at Pete's infamous bbq's. They can never be replaced but we will never forget them and be proud to say you had the fortune to be a friend.

I have been best friends with Julie for nearly 30 years, when we were young uncle Peter became like the father I had never had and auntie Sue my second mum.
I cannot put into words the catastrophic loss this is and I know I will never meet anyone in this lifetime like uncle Pete, he showed us all how to respect and love.
My heart is broken for my auntie Sue, my best pal Julie and little Pete and all the family.

I'm still stunned, I cannot believe my brothers are not here, especially Peter with the biggest heart of gold, I adored him and cannot bear to think of life without him in it.
Michael with his wicked sense of humour and kindest heart ever. I have been blessed with the happiest of memories and privileged to be their big sister. My heartfelt sympathy to Peter's adored Sue and family and Michael's beloved family...........love you all.

Uncle Mick
Whenever I worked with you and the uncles it wasn't long before you'd have everyone in stitches. You never failed to make me cry laughing. Loved working with you Tommy, Uncle Pete and Uncle Tony in Reading for that few weeks. Great memories I will treasure. Lots of love and God bless.

Uncle Pete,
It seems impossible that someone with so much life isn't here any more. It just won't sink in. I've so many fantastic memories of you. Remember you regularly calling to my mums with Uncle Tone, Uncle Gez and Uncle Mick for a brekkie when you were on your way to work when I was just a small kid. Watching you all laughing and joking and me wanting to be a part of it all. I remember thinking back then how special you all were.
Weekends used to be round your house for pop and crisp nights and a video with our little Pete, Anthony and Donny.
You were our hero and we all idolised you! The weekends never stopped happening, we were always there, bringing our mates and girlfriends and being fed a feast (and boy could you cook).
You were a real joker and we used to have such a laugh, and never once did you moan about the mess the morning after. You have always been so giving. I don't know how you and Aunty Sue did it.
All the times you have made anyone you meet so welcome and important. All the things you have done for us all. Times spent with you are some of the best of my life! You've been such a massive influence on me and who I am. The kind of man I aspire to be. The best Uncle a lad could wish for. I can't imagine all our lives now with you not in it. I'll love and cherish every memory and think of you always. God bless.

Uncle Peter, from my earliest memories I've always been proud to say you're my uncle Pete, the fun times we shared, how, without trying making me, Andrew, Michaela and Maria, infact all the family, feel special, and all we tried to do was show you how special you were to us.
I can't come to terms with the fact that I wont hear you say macky to me again, I miss you so much it's not fair, you loved life and you lived for your family it's so hard to accept what's happened. You're the man we all looked up to. I will always be proud to say my uncle Pete. I love you my uncle Pete.

My darling Uncle Peter, what am I going to do without you, you were the world to me, you were always there for me to make me laugh when I was sad, to give me a great big hug, it made me feel so much better.
You brightened up this horrid world, your laugh was so contagious, you made everyone laugh. You lived for your family and would do anything for them, everyone who met you fell in love with you, you were so so special and I am going to miss you so much.
Heaven is a very lucky place to have you there, you will make their garden beautiful just like yours is here.
You will be with Grandad, Uncle Gerard and Uncle Michael looking down on us telling us off for being sad, because you hated people being sad, well I'm sorry uncle Pete, I want to be sad, you were taken away from us when it wasn't your time, you had so much to live for, you loved life and you loved everyone around you just as everyone around you loved you.
I'm going to so so miss you, there is a great big void missing my heart aches and I want you to come back to us so much. I love you Uncle Pete, always will.
From your niece Michaela xxxx

I had the privilege to live next door to Pete and Sue in the early 70's when I was a kid. I was good friends with Julie but have lost touch over the years. Pete was a fantastic man. They were a lovely close family and were always there for their neighbours and friends. My heart goes out to Sue, Julie and Peter junior. He will be sadly missed but greatly remembered xxx

We only knew Pete for a few weeks, but he still had a big effect on our lives... He was a real family man... After meeting Pete i changed my outlook on life... Life is to live and you have to enjoy every moment... He was a perfect Dad, Grand Dad and Husband and will be sorely missed by us all... He was a real breath of fresh air... The minute you met him, you warmed to him... He was a great guy to know and we feel honoured to have known him and we could call him my friend... Our hearts to out to all the family... We are all here for you... anything you need, just ask...

To all of the Zanetti family, most of all my very good and close friend Pete Zanetti the son of Peter Zanetti. My heart goes out to him. When I first moved to the area of Woodlesford, Pete was my neighbour. He welcomed me with the innocence and openess of how we used to live in the 70s, when you could call on your neighbour 24/7. The front door was always open and we were always welcome. Later he became one of my very close friends, he introduced me to his Dad, the term 'like father like son' has never been truer when I saw them together. They were like best friends as well as father and son. It was a real privilege to see the closeness they had together. Pete Snr will be greatly missed by the whole community as he was the life and soul of parties and he cooked a mean Bar-B-Q. Never to be beaten.
My deepest sympathy,
Jordan Pearson (a dear friend)

Life can be all too short. To have it taken away in such a dramatic way has left your family devastated not only for one, but two. Other members still fighting to recovery in hospital. It will indeed be a long and painful road for you all.
No words can at the moment be of comfort only to know that you have the strength of your family and friends and thoughts of sympathy of those that you have never met with you.
I hope your memories of your loved ones carry you through your darkest days and that they are memories that make you smile again.
