Toddler taken to hospital after dog attack in Leeds park

A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital after being bitten on the head by a dog in a Leeds park.

The toddler was with his parents when he was attacked in Cross Flatts Park in Beeston at 5.30pm on Friday, April 18.

Police believe a mastiff-type dog was involved and are keen to trace the owner.

Sergeant Jon Arrowsuch, of the Inner South Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The injuries [...] were luckily minor and he was treated and released from hospital the same evening.”

The owner is described as white, 6ft tall, of fat build, with fair hair, wearing a blue and yellow polo shirt and jeans.
