Children’s TV favourite Timmy Mallett has launched a train company’s golden ticket giveaway of 17,000 prizes in Leeds.

CrossCountry is rewarding passengers with the chance to win first class upgrades, railcards, free hot drinks, wifi and free and discounted rail travel this summer.

Among the prizes for the Great Giveaway, launched yesterday at Leeds rail station, are football stadium tours, a Coronation Street tour, a sky dive and tickets to see the Big Reunion boyband tour plus a meet and greet.

Clare Shufflebotham, from CrossCountry, said: “The Great Giveaway provides opportunities for our passengers to explore some of the great towns and cities along our route as well as the chance to experience a money can’t buy adventure.”

CrossCountry trains call at over 100 stations nationwide.

Customers should look out for golden ticket activity in city centres along the network or sign up for news and offers at www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk to be in the running.
