Firefighters and police were called to the scene of an early hours car smash in Leeds at the weekend.
Two fire engines from Leeds Central fire station were dispatched to Burley Road near the Opal One student flats, just outside the city centre, at around 1.15am yesterday. (Oct 14)
A Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Avensis were involved in the crash.
Two people who were in the Avensis had already been helped from the car and taken to hospital.
The driver of the Passat, a man in his thirties, was put on a long board by firefighters before being taken by ambulance to hospital.
None of the injuries is thought to be life-threatening.
Investigations into the cause of the accident were continuing yesterday.
A third vehicle, thought to be a van, is suspected of driving off after being involved.
