There are just three days left to nominate your Jane Tomlinson’s For All Events heroes of 2012.
Nominations are being sought for the For All Events Awards 2012 – new honours which aim to recognise the organisation’s dedicated army of fundraisers, volunteers, runners, walkers and swimmers.
Awards are to be presented in six categories, including Fundraiser of the Year (sponsored by the Yorkshire Evening Post); Volunteer Award; Most Inspirational Moment of 2012 (sponsored by ITV News’ Calendar); Colleague of the Season (sponsored by Asda); Performance of the Year; the Jane Tomlinson Appeal Award.
Charities working alongside For All Events – which stages the popular annual series of Run For All, Walk For All and Swim For All events across the North – have been invited to nominate deserving individuals, as have readers of the Yorkshire Evening Post, ITV News’ Calendar viewers and Asda colleagues.
Those adults, young people and children shortlisted will be invited to a ceremony at Asda House in Leeds city centre in February where the winners will be unveiled and presented with their awards.
For All Events’ Mike Tomlinson said: “We’re always humbled by the huge level of support for For All Events and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
“Our participants, our fundraisers and our loyal volunteers and supporters are what make the organisation what it is today.
“While we always appreciate what our supporters do, the For All Events team thought it was about time we recognised them officially.
“Many of our supporters have been there from day one.
“While others have raised really significant amounts of money for good causes, or just achieved something really special.”
Nominations are open now and close on January 30.
The shortlist will be announced shortly afterwards.
