Three men arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident which left a 10-year-old girl fighting for her life and her two-year-old brother seriously injured have been released on bail.
Sabah Saleem and her brother Rayhan were knocked down by a car in Brudenell Road, Hyde Park, Leeds, on Saturday. (August 18)
Relatives have described Sabah as a “little hero” after it emerged she was probably more seriously injured because she was protecting her younger brother from the impact.
West Yorkshire Police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident; a 39-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving; and a 26-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All three have now been released on bail pending further inquiries, the force said.
