Police are looking for these men after thieves pounced when a woman dropped her handbag at Leeds railway station.

The 48-year-old, from Chapeltown, was running for her train on the night of June 6 when the bag slipped from her grasp.

PC Mark Stokes, of British Transport Police (BTP), said: “Two men walking behind her picked up her bag and rummaged though it before stealing approximately £100 cash and two credit cards from her purse. They then discarded her handbag.

“Enquiries have been ongoing to identify the two men responsible but to no avail. I am now appealing for anyone who recognises the men in these photographs to come forward as I believe they will have information which can assist the investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call BTP on 0800 405040 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
