The Bloke: Brace yourself for four more years of hurt
So that's that then.
Cancel the barbecues, forget about buying that brand new flatscreen and brace yourself for four more years of hurt.

A romp through the qualifying group that was most un-English in its clinical efficiency gave us a whiff of hope that this summer's sojourn to South Africa wouldn't end in a blur of tears, heartache and rubbish penalty kicks.
But now that half the dressing room think one of their teammates is a cretin of the highest order surely that's out of the window isn't it?

The Missus has her fair share of 'blonde moments', as this column has faithfully reported (at great physical risk) down the years.
But she was well and truly outdone this week by my mate Pete's other half who came up with an absolute classic.
"She thought pound coins were made of actual gold," he sniggered as we played golf at the weekend.
"Now, every time I have a few pound coins I gather them all up, run through to her and announce we're rich beyond our wildest dreams!"
When I told the Missus she was appalled that Pete had gone public with such a faux pas.
"I hope he hasn't told anyone else," she said. "That's really cruel to make fun of her like that."
I thought it best not to tell her that Pete had put it up on Facebook.
