Two gardens have been opened at a mental health centre for older people.
The gardens, called Potter’s Corner and Tranquillity, have been created at The Mount, near Leeds city centre, which is run by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Michele Moran, chief operating officer and chief nurse at the trust, opened the gardens at the in-patient facility which cares for older people with dementia and other mental health problems.
At the opening, users, staff and carers took part in garden fete games and added plants to the flowerbeds.
Work started in April on the gardens, part of a project to develop three specially-designed outdoor areas to give service users somewhere to relax and spend time with family and friends.
The Garden of Wellbeing at The Mount was opened in July.
