A Leeds-based heritage clothing and footwear brand has lost stock estimated to be worth more than £2,000 following a break-in at its head office.
The burglary, which took place overnight on Thursday, December 6 at Nicholas Deakin’s head office in Armley, involved the theft of a limited edition T-shirt collection designed in collaboration with Leeds artist Matt Trotter.
The firm, which described the theft as a “significant loss”, doesn’t usually hold stock at its head office site – which is home to its logistics department and design house – but the T-shirts had just been delivered.
A statement from the firm said: “This has been a significant loss to the brand, as this collaboration was the first in a driven incentive to promote local talent and continue collaborations into the future based on the success of the sales from the stolen T-shirts.
“Nicholas Deakins is sorry to have this happen both for the artist and the work he had put into the project and their loyal customers, who had been looking forward to the collaboration for some time.”
