Three men have been arrested and suspected Class A drugs seized after the police chopper swooped on a Leeds estate
Officers went to a flat on Fearnville Road, Gipton just after 10.15am on Saturday where they noticed the smell of cannabis.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “As police began to enter the property two occupants were seen to leave from the rear of the building. With the assistance of the police helicopter, a 25-year-old local man was found in nearby gardens between Fearnville Mount and Fearnville Grove.
“He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after a package containing what is believed to be class A crack cocaine was found by officers outside the rear of the property.”
A short time later a second local man, aged 21, was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Inside the flat, officers found a significant amount of cash and arrested another 21-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and money laundering offences.
All three men have been released on police bail.
