SHOPPERS can bag hundreds of prizes in the run up to Trinity Leeds’ grand opening.
Up to 2,000 hidden boxes will be stashed in secret locations across the city for locals to discover.
Each pink gift box, hidden near the Briggate, Albion Street and The Headrow areas, will contain a present from one of more than 100 retailers launching at the centre.
Prizes will range from £50 Warehouse vouchers to a free cocktail making experience at The Alchemist and will also include an invitation to the public launch event on Thursday, March 21.
The launch, which is curated by leading British fashion designer Henry Holland, will take place under Trinity Leeds’ glass roof at 10.30am, with doors opening at 10am.
An evening performance will also take place at 6pm.
Another competition will also give locals the chance to get a slice of the action.
The ‘Giant Cutlery Hunt’ is being run by D&D’s new restaurants Angelica and Crafthouse and will see giant cutlery scattered across various locations in the city on March 22 and 23.
People who find one of the 20 pieces of half a metre high cutlery will win a meal for two if they return them to either of the two restaurants.
More clues about the whereabouts of the knives and forks will be published live on the restaurants’ Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Rewards can be redeemed by winners at both restaurants any time after Tuesday, March 26, when full restaurant services will begin.
Trinity Leeds will have one million sq ft of shopping and leisure space and will include more than 100 new shops, stores and restaurants.
