Schools featured include Mount St. Mary's, Richmond Hill, Ellerby Lane, St.Hilda's, Victoria and All Saints.

There will be more than 300 photogrpohs on display from the 1930s to the 1960s. It also incorporates over 100 photos of the Old Leeds Parish Church "market district boys club".

Organiser, Graham Hawkridge, told Cross Gates Today: "Our last exhibition in April 2008 created a tremendous response.

"Many tales were derived and many memories came flooding back. many of the photos brought people together who had not seen each other for forty or fifty years so there was a lot of emotional feeling.

"People were going away and coming back with the rest of their family to see the exhibition. We even had youngsters who were recognising their parents, grandparents and family members."

Mr Hawkridge said the exhibiokn developed from Old East Leeds Reunion Group meetings which are held at the edmund house club.

The Group have published two books of peoples memories - people who lived in the area during the 1930` to 1950`s - which have reached far away places including Australia, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Spain.
